* Typically an Internal Hard drive will include drive, software, and cabling to connect to your computer? Internal drives are available in PATA and SATA interface. PATA interface are compatible with older computers while SATA interface will be the definite choice for newer computers.
Should I get the biggest drive available?
* No not necessarily. In most cases you would be better off with a drive that fits your needs. In most cases, the larger the drive the slower it will be, but that will depend if you are comparing the same RPM drives. However, you certainly don't want to purchase a drive that you will out grow in next 2-3 years or so.
What is RPM?
* RPM stands for Revolutions Per Minute. Pretty the more the faster the drive will be.
Who makes the best, most reliable drives?
* This is a tough question to answer. I would not choose your drive by Manufacturer, but rather by specs (speed, computer type, buffer).
Do I have to set it up or install anything on my computer for it to work?
* Yes, you have to insert the drive into a drive slot on your computer. The majority of the drives in our selection will be Plug and Play, but since these are internal drives other factors will come into play like whether this is your primary (master) or secondary (slave) drive. Some will mention specific types of computers that they will be used on most reliably. If you run an old operating system you may need to manually install the drivers. In most cases your package will included a disk with drivers for manual installation. If not you can proceed to the manufacturers website and download drivers for your computer/operating system.
